US (NY): Farm. One closes Tribeca farm operations

Farm. One's operation facility on Worth Street has closed its operations as of today. As recently shared, Farm. One has run a crowd-funding during covid to remedy the pandemic's setbacks, but unfortunately, that hasn't been successful.

"We're sad to close our Tribeca location which has been an exciting part of the neighborhood since 2017, with a huge amount of support from the local community. Happily, we have been able to donate equipment from the site to Teens for Food Justice, NY Sun Works, and Collective Food Works - non-profit organizations in New York that bring hydroponics to kids' classrooms and fresh food to the folks that need it most, in this food-insecure city. We will resume operations from our Brooklyn farm in the very near future," said founder Robert Laing.

Originally, the farm supplied chefs and bartenders around the city with their microgreens, leafy greens and edible flowers. Their Brooklyn farm however will be soon up and running to keep supplying customers.
