The Government's quest to revolutionise farming in Barbados to boost food production and combat the crippling effects of climate change is moving closer to becoming reality.
As early as next month, Barbados will begin the pilot phase of an indoor vertical farm project, a game changer for the farming sector.
Minister of Agriculture, Food and Nutritional Security Indar Weir and representatives of Indoor Vertical Farm, the Netherlands-based company assisting the Ministry with the rollout, gave CBC an update on the initiative.
