For those interested in learning more about greenhouse fundamentals and hydroponic vegetable production basics, Penn State Extension is offering a webinar, "Living on a Few Acres: Hydroponics and Greenhouse Production," from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. July 10.
This session is designed for new and beginning producers and for those looking to become more self-sufficient in vegetable production using greenhouses or hydroponics.
Whether you're considering adding a greenhouse to your property or exploring hydroponics for the first time, organizers said, this webinar will help you decide if the path is right for you. Participants can learn more about greenhouse selection, greenhouse production management, hydroponic fertility and hydroponic production systems.
Participants must register by 6 p.m. July 10 to receive the link to access the live webinar. Space for this webinar is limited, and a $5 registration fee accompanies the event. Registrants also will receive access to the webinar recording.
