Sheffield Search is assisting PlantTech Research Institute
to facilitate the recruitment of Board members following
the change of its corporate structure from a limited
liability company to an incorporated society.

An Establishment Board is in place during this transition.
PlantTech now invites applications from suitably qualified
individuals to help facilitate PlantTech’s future growth.
These are remunerated directorships.

A Skills and Capabilities Framework outlines the ideal
experience and mix of strengths that are considered
most likely to deliver outstanding governance
leadership of the organisation. In addition to a
depth of governance experience, skills to be
considered carefully which will assist and guide
the decision-making process, include:

· investment experience, including
in international markets;

· audit and risk, strong financial and
commercial acumen;

· investor relations, funding expertise, and
relevant public and private sector networks;

· credible functional knowledge and expertise
in research and development, and innovative
technology;

· a highly collaborative ‘influencing’ style
and outcome-orientation;

· a commitment to recognising the importance
of Vision Mātauranga; the unlocking of science
and innovation potential of Māori knowledge,
resources, and people.

seeks to accelerate innovation and identify
solutions to horticulture challenges through a
variety of Technology applications.

A collaborative partnership founded by
sector-aligned companies in the Bay of Plenty
and now inclusive of the wider national primary
economy, who have strengths in plant-based
innovation, the organisation’s agile approach
is based on the shared challenges of its members
and the general sector.

PlantTech has recently changed its corporate
structure from a limited liability company to
an incorporated society. As ‘members’ rather
than shareholders, it is envisaged the Society
will better reflect the not-for-profit and wider
agribusiness sector benefit focus that has
always been at the heart of the PlantTech mission.

The organisation is based in Tauranga.
