Today we farm 2000 acres, source from 46 countries and supply over 1000 customers worldwide across 27 countries. We work together as one Keelings team, from 7 countries with 11 unique business units, sharing knowledge and expertise with our colleagues and partners.

Key responsibilities

  • Global account manager for the European key accounts including the responsibility for weekly price calculations, weekly and seasonal price negotiations, agreeing promotional calendars, achieve pre -set customer margin requirements, and manage the daily and weekly administration for managing multiple accounts. Responsible for forecasting and budgeting.
  • Develop a forward-thinking commercial approach that is results orientated.
  • Working alongside the Commercial teams assessing the marketplace for new opportunities
  • Attention to detail on stock control, waste, giveaway and claims to deliver high performance profitability. Challenge all costs in the supply chain ensuring overall efficiency.
  • Accountable for the management and development of a small team of professional commercial people, in line with the company values.
  • Developing, coaching, and building the capability of the team.
  • To maintain and develop excellent customer relationships.
  • Develop great cross functional working relationships with the Business units in the group.
  • Responsible for deputising for the Business Unit Director in the absence of the Business Unit Director ensuring all Directors and Stakeholders are kept up to date with commercial activity, and standards, budget controls and customer satisfaction (QSL and DSL) is maintained across the business.
  • Driving the commercial strategy for the business unit growth.

Key skills and experience you will bring to Keelings

  • Must have a minimum of 6 years within the Fresh produce industry in account management commercial sales
  • Excellent all round communication skills with the ability to present at Board level
  • Proven negotiating skills
  • Customer focused
  • Team player
  • Proven ability of achieving sales through excellent relationships within the industry
  • Analytical with the ability to manage budgets and analyse complex detail
  • Excel advanced level
  • Ability to make balanced decisions accurately and often with limited time
  • Proven ability in problem solving
