US (SD): 12,140m2 vertical farm to be build in North Sioux City

Urban Farms, Ltd. will build a new vertical farm under the establishment of Urban Farms South Dakota, LLC. in North Sioux City, USA. The 12,141m2 vertical farm will be built by YesHealth Group within the city's metropolitan area, delivering up to 4,000 pounds of fresh produce daily.

Through this initiative, Urban Farms aims to address nutritional needs and local food sourcing, especially during the winter months. The company has garnered support on this project from South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem and leveraged a strategic partnership with YesHealth Group. Designed by Nelson Commercial Construction and Engineering, the farm underscores a commitment to modernity, sustainability, and efficiency, promising to elevate the region's agricultural and technological landscape.

Ravi Bhola, Urban Farms' co-founder and CEO, and his partner, Jared Rury, bring to the table experience from aerospace, defense, and large-scale construction projects. Their expertise fosters a blend of innovation and pragmatism, ensuring the venture is not merely a triumph of engineeringā€¦ but a catalyst for job creation and educational opportunities.

A partnership with deep roots
As Urban Farms South Dakota prepares to lay its foundations in North Sioux City, the promise of Project Grow extends far beyond the cultivation of crops. It represents a melding of community, innovation, and education, poised to sow seeds of change in the hearts and minds of South Dakotans and beyond.

The venture also offers qualified residents the opportunity to invest and participateā€¦ alongside the 30% of capital already committed by various State and Federal programs. It's an opportunity for savvy local and regional investors to be part of a movement that transcends traditional agriculture, fostering a future where education, wellness, and sustainability are intricately intertwined.
