Nelson and Pade going digital

Aquaponics master class now offered online

After over 20 years of offering onsite aquaponics classes and training, aquaponics industry pioneers and experts, Rebecca Nelson, John Pade and the Nelson and Pade team, present their Aquaponics master class online.

The master class is intended for anyone seriously considering getting into aquaponic food production, or those already doing aquaponics who want to learn more about the technology. "We cover the topics most important to being successful in aquaponics including aquaponic methods and applications, crop choices and recommendations, water quality, daily operation and growing techniques, greenhouses, indoor agriculture and environmental control, fish biology and feeds, plant care and health, system start up, economics and business considerations."

To date, attendees from over 110 countries and all 50 U.S. states have travelled to the Nelson and Pade demonstration facility in Montello, Wisconsin, and other hosted locations, to learn about aquaponic food production and controlled environment agriculture.

Nelson and Pade is now offering a variety of aquaponic online classes. "These classes are great for anyone looking to learn more about aquaponic food production. Whether you are brand new to aquaponics or are an experienced grower looking to expand your base of knowledge, we have a class for you."

Originally founded in 1985, Nelson and Pade provides aquaponic systems, training, supplies, and support to its broad base of customers around the world. It has always been the vision of Nelson and Pade to be able to provide food security for all nations through aquaponics and controlled environment agriculture. "With the release of our Aquaponics Master Class in an online format, we can have a global reach to support our vision and mission.

The knowledge that Rebecca Nelson and John Pade have of hydroponic and aquaponic technology stems from years of hands-on, successful operation of commercial hydroponic and aquaponic greenhouses and over 30 years of self-funded research and development. In addition, they have helped many others get started in hydroponics and aquaponics. As entrepreneurs, they understand the business model and marketing techniques required for success in aquaponics. Consulting, teaching and other business interests have taken Nelson and Pade to over 25 countries around the world. As they have travelled the globe and studied modern agriculture, nutrition and food safety, they are confident that aquaponics can help resolve many of the world’s problems and can sustainably provide a high-quality food supply, while having a positive impact on the environment.
