Sensei Ag forms Advisory Board of industry leaders

Sensei Ag announced the formation of the company’s Advisory Board. Joining the newly established board is Amy Povich Agus, Dr. Leslie H. Fuchigami and Dr. Mary K. Wagner. These three advisors will leverage their collective skills and expertise to provide guidance and direction to the company’s executive team through its continued growth and development in the AgTech and FoodTech spaces.

Amy Povich Agus has been at the forefront of developing and growing the Sensei brand and experience since its inception. Working with vendors from around the world, Ms. Agus has curated a signature line of amenities for Sensei Lāna‘i, A Four Seasons Resort. Ms. Agus is also the founder of IKAR, a spiritual community in Los Angeles, as well as guest lectures at the University of Southern California’s School of Dramatic Arts. Prior to that, Ms. Agus spent many years acting in films, on television and on stage. She received her Master of Fine Arts from the Yale School of Drama and studied Shakespeare in London at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She currently serves on the Yale School of Drama Board of Advisors.

Dr. Leslie H. Fuchigami was born and raised on the island of Lāna‘i, Hawai‘i and is an expert in local Hawaiian plant life. He co-founded Nature Sciences, LLC, a family owned and operated business dedicated to helping grow the healthiest plants possible by creating solutions to problems encountered in the agricultural industry. He is also the co-founder of Precision Plant Systems Inc., which has developed a set of revolutionary mobile asset management tools that enable growers to monitor and manage crops status and performance and predict growth outcomes. Dr. Fuchigami previously taught horticulture at Oregon State University. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Hawai‘i and a master’s degree and PhD from the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Mary K. Wagner is a recognized executive leader and board director with a reputation for creating innovative products, handling corporate crises and managing food risks, quality and safety. She is a strategist, an operational leader and a team builder who has been an executive in branded global retail and consumer packaged goods companies. Dr. Wagner currently leads MK Wagner and Associates Inc., a provider of solutions in food innovation and safety. She earned her Bachelors of Science and a masters from Iowa State University and a PhD from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Wagner is also a graduate of Harvard’s Extension Program for Management Development and a participant in Northwestern University’s Kellogg Family Governance Program.
