“This highlights Gamuda Land’s forward-looking approach and mindful master planning across its developments, ensuring the vibrancy and sustainability of the mall, township and surrounding communities even amid changing retail and property landscapes in the new norm,” Tan said in a statement.
Gamuda Land, the property arm of Gamuda Bhd, saw a strong positive response at the launch of Quayside Mall in twenty-five.7, Kota Kemuning, which it said underscores the enduring potential of retail spaces catering for post-lockdown trends in the new norm.
Gamuda Land’s director of leasing, retail and malls, Herbie Tan, said the mall’s design is optimally positioned in Malaysia’s changing retail landscape, with the development favoring open spaces with connections to nature, enhanced air quality and fresh tenant mixes. The project comprises four stories and includes the country’s first organic vertical farming facility within a mall. It also features spacious, airy layouts with abundant natural lighting and ventilation.

The Quayside Mall also features a waterfront food and beverage (F&B) space featuring a panoramic view of the promenade at the pet-friendly central park, with an Aurora Rhythms musical fountain display in the central lake greeting visitors at 8pm daily. Its F&B brands include Rong Cuisine, Nutz nBoltz, Starbucks, Uncle Don’s and Union Artisan Coffee.
“As a developer of townships and connected communities, we focus on bringing people together through the medium of places and spaces. This means that we studied current retail trends favouring essentials operators and eateries, and ensured that Quayside Mall addresses them as a curator of community spaces,” Tan said.
