80 Acres Farms' $30 million, 70,000-sq.ft. high-tech 'marvel engineering'

Raising a glass to the opening of highly automated Hamilton farm

On 15 January, 80 Acres Farms raised a glass to the opening of its Hamilton-based highly automated vertical farm. A word of thanks given by 80 Acres Farms' co-founders Mike Zelkind and Tisha Livingston.

"Today is a very exciting day for 80 Acres Farm, but also for the city of Hamilton, Ohio and all farmers everywhere as we work with a lot of farmers in the area we operate. We're here to celebrate the official grand opening of our newest, most automated farm powered by Infinite Acres."

Mike said that the has already been growing at unprecedented yields with high-quality, varied produce that hasn't been available so far. "We are here to celebrate it is an automated farm that can grow a variety of fruits and vegetables, many leafy greens and lettuces. Soon tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and pears in the same system year-round, using Priva's technique. Today, a new standard is being set for food quality way beyond organic."

Tisha Livingston closed the ceremony with final words, "Today is about celebrating, we're also celebrating the possibilities of what this farm can bring to all the communities around the globe. Anybody that's looking for healthy produce in their community should be looking to 80 Acres and Infinite acres and this kind of farm."
