Light Science Technologies (LST), one of the UK’s leading AgriTech specialists, has further strengthened its team by appointing three new members of staff to drive the delivery of the company’s ambitious growth plans.
The expansion is in response to meet increasing UK demand for the Derby-based firm’s ground-breaking sensor and lighting technology. Between them, the new members of staff will be responsible for key areas covering the marketing, sales and operational divisions of the business.
Andy Williams joins as Marketing Director with extensive product marketing experience, having worked both agency and client side for multinationals including Unilever and various start-ups for over 15 years. Having previously helped deliver successful B2B marketing strategies and lead global digital transformation projects, Andy’s new role will see him implementing and overseeing the overall marketing strategy for all group companies.
Sandra Paimbrekyte comes onboard as Special Project Coordinator. As an International Business and Finance Graduate, Sandra gained experience working in the supply chain planning department for two years while studying towards her degree. Her new role will involve supporting teams across a variety of projects as well as assisting with software system implementation.
Linzi Doleman also joins the Sales and Marketing team as Internal Sales Executive. In a newly created role, she will draw on her extensive sales experience in the hospitality and events industry to work on new business lead generation and nurture relationships for all group companies.
LST looks set to transform the future of Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) through its ‘all in one’ indoor farm sensor, as it focuses on becoming a key global player in the burgeoning CEA market over the next four years. Its custom-made solution provides farmers and growers with an integrated, cost effective and low maintenance method to help achieve maximum plant productivity and yield, through creating a full growing “recipe” of lighting, nutrient and environment.
Simon Deacon, CEO of Light Science Technologies added: “We’re delighted to welcome aboard our new members who will no doubt play a crucial role in helping achieve LST’s strategic growth objectives over the next few years. This expansion comes at a pivotal time of accelerated growth in the CEA industry and specifically within the business, so we can ensure we meet the rising demand for next-generation scalable farming.”
