From farm to table: "how we deliver in hours"

Did you know that 90% of produce in the US is grown on the same field in the West Coast? These crops require massive amounts of resources and rely on chemical fertilizers to encourage growth. Plus, since these crops are primarily grown on the West Coast, the lettuce from this field is transported thousands of miles, stopping at stores along the way, and takes time to get to your local grocery store. This time often results in the products going bad faster.

The local touch
"So how do you make sure you're buying fresh produce? Living Greens Farm’s leafy greens and herbs are delivered to stores with a travel time of no more than one day. And we’re able to package produce the same day it’s harvested!" says Michelle Keller, Head Grower at Living Greens Farm.

"How many times have you gone to the store and bought salad mix, only to have it turn brown a few days later? This is what it’s like for most people who are trying to eat healthy greens. It’s not that the greens are bad, it’s just that… they’re old. However, when we harvest our plants, we bring them directly to our wash and chop room. Here, the produce is sorted, washed, and chopped, making it ready to eat as soon as you open a bag."

'We package and ship our produce that same day and deliver it to you locally within 24 hours, keeping your produce fresh, crisp, and green. That’s our Fresh Farm to Table Promise."
