Vertical Future adds to research team

Vertical Future announces that Dr. Katie Wilkins will be joining the team today on a Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) FMTA Fellowship.

Katie is a Broodbank Research Fellow from the University of Cambridge within Professor Julia Davies' lab, where her research on dissecting plant signalling events in abiotic interactions has a particular focus on identifying, monitoring and reducing stress-induced damage in plants. In her most recent project, she has been investigating the role of ozone-stress in cell death signalling pathways, but previous projects have also looked at the impact of infections on plant health and signalling events involved in plant fertilisation events.

During her time with us, Katie will be applying her expertise in dissecting plant stress events to further develop growing systems through the testing of plant health sensors.
