France: Construction is going well in Poulainville

Ÿnsect recently announced on Twitter that its new Ÿnfarm under construction. The company is planning to build 'the world's biggest, most technological, and sustainable vertical farm'. 

As they said on their Twitter page, the first breeding unit is already halfway built, which is where their Molitor mealworms will grow. Next to that, the reproduction area isn't far behind! Ÿnsect also started building its 2nd breeding unit where more insects will be bred. 

The factory under construction

Ÿnsect's third production site in Poulainville is coming on leaps and bounds. The project is a Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking, which is a €3.7 billion partnership between the EU and the Bio-based Industries Consortium.
