Vertical Harvest Farms has partnered with Avant Delivery to bring customers their Fall Farm Share 2021 with 100% reusable packaging.
The partnership came into fruition when Vertical Harvest was looking to up their sustainability game for farm share customers, and Avant was just launching their local foods in the reusable packaging business. The two came together to brainstorm how they could set the standard for zero-waste packaging and give customers an easy option to reduce their waste while eating local food.
This farm share will be different from others as they have refined their products and process to bring you the ultimate local food experience. Each week your farm share will include rotating varieties of our lettuce heads, live microgreens, Teton tomatoes, and more!
Your purchase of a Farm Share supports Vertical Harvest in so many ways. It allows the farm’s growing team to anticipate production, so they can schedule labor accordingly. Your support also helps bridge Vertical Harvest through a time of off-season restaurant closures. Through our Grow Well program, we are ensuring success and growth for our employees.
“The Grow Well Model is more than just growing one’s professional future. Our employment model supports each employee’s personal growth through a variety of programs integrated into the workday as well as access to more self-inquiry study on one’s own time. We have quarterly and yearly advocacy initiatives that we engage in together and on our own. This allows for a greater impact. It truly does take a village to empower each one of us to find the passion projects that we can support.”
“Jackson Hole is a very transient community, and most businesses have a very difficult time retaining good help. That has not been an issue at our greenhouse. In our five years of operation, we have retained 99% of our employees with disabilities. We strongly believe this has to do with our inclusive culture and the role modeling that is shared among people with and without disabilities,” said Co-Founder, Director of Human Potential Caroline Croft Estay.
