UK: Making learning about hydroponics fun

A former college basketball coach from Worcester has started a nonprofit that uses hydroponics to help battle food insecurity.

Charles Luster does more than just make learning fun for children at the Webster Square Daycare Center, he also teaches kids all about hydroponics through his nonprofit called 2gether We Eat. The term "hydroponics" refers to gardening using water and nutrients but no soil.

“We do a lot of green leafy vegetables to promote healthy eating,” Luster said. “It’s great to see the kids eating healthy [and] learning the knowledge behind hydroponics.”
