Mana Farms:

German agtech raises €150k with new funding round, hoping for €500k

Mana Farms, a startup from Leipzig, Germany, researches and develops hydroponic indoor farming systems, especially for the hospitality industry. Under optimal conditions, salads, herbs, and microgreens are grown right in front of the guests. In this way, restaurants score points for freshness, quality, sustainability, and storytelling.

"We are well on our way as thanks to your support we have reached our first SeedMatch campaign milestone! With the funding we've received so far, we're able to complete work on our latest Mana Farm release, which is being developed specifically to produce delicious and nutritious microgreens for the foodservice and hospitality industries.

The Mana Micro-Farm will be available for direct sale, and we are very excited to put it into action. Finally, we will begin the development of our Mana SeedPad. The SeedPad will be, in a sense, our vehicle for how we deliver seeds to our customers' favorite greens in a plug-and-play solution," says Raphael Schardt, who found the company together with Richard Daser.
