“Our goal has been to be a one-stop shopping partner for growers through the entire buying process: seeking LED lighting for grow facilities and ancillary lighting (office, security, external, etc.), controls, rebates, financing, consulting, installation, and maintenance,” says Chris Brown, Chairman at Ultra Yield Solutions (UYS).
Ultra Yield Solutions is based in New York and is a sales, marketing and technical consultancy and a distributor of LED lighting solutions. The company aims to provide the controlled environment agriculture industry with simple processes for purchasing affordable and high-quality lighting, energy and sustainability solutions.

Partnerships to bring light and facilitate installation, maintenance
Currently, Ultra Yield Solutions has partnered with two established lighting companies: Acuity Brands and NextLight. At the end of 2021, Acuity Brands introduced in Verjure series to the market and the solution has quickly gained traction. NextLight has a well-established product line that is well appreciated in the cannabis industry but can be applied to a wide variety of crops.
Ultra Yield Solutions has also partnered with Facility Solutions Groups which “enables UYS to support growers with installation and maintenance across the country, which is a big advantage for multi-state operators who may need support in multiple locations,” explains Chris.
UYS providing support from start to finish
As Chris explains, Ultra Yield Solutions differentiates itself from other lighting manufacturers and distributors through its focus on the entire lighting and energy purchasing processes. The company is well versed in lighting, maintenance, controls and sensors, rebates and available funding options. As Chris notes, “UYS sees this process as a continuum where we can be engaged with our clients from beginning to end.
This commitment means helping growers sift through the wide range of horticultural lighting products to find the most efficient solutions offered by reputable companies. This translates into higher savings, higher energy efficiencies and peace of mind.
“We work with experienced lighting and horticultural advisors who can work with growers to sort through the plethora of products available to them. We know that this is a complicated decision, so we want to help them get it right the first time,” says Chris.
Next up: new partnerships and more consultancy
According to Chris, Ultra Yield Solutions will be launching new partnerships with a rebate and warranty services firm and with a horticultural financing company. The company is also looking into partnerships related to microgrid solutions later in the year.
The UYS team also expects to have their hands full with the company’s consultancy division, which is blooming and has witnessed a spike in interest from new suppliers who are considering entering the CEA market.
