Iceland: Blue Lagoon’s ex-CFO joins VAXA

Thorey Gudmundsdottir has been appointed to the role of CFO at VAXA, a CEA firm in Iceland. Gudmundsdottir, a longtime CFO of the Blue Lagoon – home to one of 25 wonders of the world which also operates hotels, restaurants, spas, and line of skincare products, is only the latest hire as VAXA continues to expand its executive team. During her tenure at the Blue Lagoon, the company‘s revenue grew from EUR 30 million to over EUR 120 million. Gudmundsdottir brings a wealth of experience having been involved with multiple businesses with a global reach.

Gudmundsdottir is a graduate of the University of Iceland and sits on the board of Festi, which operates the retail chains Krónan, N1 and Elko.
