Netled adds to international sales and project teams

Netled has recently hired three new members. Heikki Takko and Thomas Dilley join the international sales team, and Antti Pihkala joins the project team.

Tom is a foodie who loves to grow and eat his own food. Back in the UK, he could not grow his own food due to a lack of available space – the waiting time for allotments in London is seven years. So, he came to Finland to explore his Finnish side and can now grow his food and sell Netled technology so that others can grow food in a controlled environment as well, albeit on a much larger scale.

Tom says that he appreciates that Finns do what they say, which is exactly how Netled works. He’s grateful to be able to get to know controlled environment agriculture more intimately while working with Netled as the International Sales Manager. Educated in the UK with a degree from the London School of Economics, Tom has broad international experience in Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Heikki studied Agricultural Technology at the University of Helsinki and in the MAST program in Minnesota. He took his agtech expertise around the world with five years in Nepal with the Finnish Missionary Society and three years in Senegal as a Development Coordinator. Now based in Tampere, Heikki is returning to the business side of agriculture as the After Sales Manager.

He was drawn to Netled as he considers it a forward-thinking company with technology that can benefit the planet. The strong agricultural link makes it a match made in heaven. Heikki also likes to cook and uses strong spices in his food thanks to his many years abroad eating very different cuisine.

Antti studied Business Information Technology & Logistics in Jyväskylä. He has worked in customer service in both healthcare and tech and has now made the move to Tampere, where he is the new Project Assistant. Antti wanted to work with a company at the forefront of the future of food and in a new industry with new technology.
