Russia: 35 tons of spicy herbs and strawberries per month

Entrepreneurs Alexander Stavitsky and Alexey Payanen launched a vertical farm in the Leningrad region, which is located in the northwestern of Russia. At this farm are growing aromatic herbs, green salads, strawberries, and wild strawberries.

The farm uses aeroponics technology, which allows you to grow greens without using soils and substrates. The farm area is about five thousand square meters. The sown area is ten thousand square meters. The production capacity is 35 tons of products per month. About 300 million rubles were invested in the vertical farming project. The main investor was  “Uralasbest” PJSC.
