ZipGrow and Growfoam announce a new distribution partnership to provide carbon-neutral substrates to a broader audience of hydroponic growers.
ZipGrow designs and builds vertical farming technology that makes fresh leafy produce accessible for all types of hydroponic growers, from beginner through to full-scale commercial operations. This distribution partnership with Netherlands-based ag-tech innovator Growfoam will provide ZipGrow’s North American customers, both commercial and hobby, immediate access to the world’s first and only 100% biodegradable & circular foam substrate.

Growfoam plugs are produced from polymers and natural additives, with no microplastics or PFA’s. Over the past six months, members of the ZipGrow Research and Development team have rigorously tested the performance of Growfoam plugs in ZipGrow Towers with a variety of crops. “As we continue to build new innovations and expand our portfolio, all-around sustainability must be top of mind,” continues Lang. “Growfoam media is fully compatible with ZipGrow technologies, and we are confident that this will provide an optimal alternative solution for ZipGrow customers without compromising on performance.”
