US (SD): Company seeking to turn vacant Mitchell building into indoor crop facility for horse feed

City leaders are looking to make way for a fast-growing South Dakota company to produce indoor crops in Mitchell.

Through a hydroponic method, DGI Feeds grows indoor crops and nutrient-rich grasses that are then broken down into horse feed. The Renner, South Dakota-based company, is eyeing a Mitchell building as a site to set up a production facility for their horse feed products.
