Philippines: BoomGrow supplies on-site farm to Newport World Resorts

The next time you find yourselves dining at one of the restaurants at Newport World Resorts (formerly Resorts World Manila), the produce on your plate might literally be 'homegrown.' 

That's because the integrated casino resort property invested in an onsite hydroponic system to grow fresh herbs and vegetables that will ultimately be used in the dishes served at the restaurants there.

This ILE Urban Farm, developed by a Malaysian startup called BoomGrow, uses an Indoor Precision Farming technology supported by artificial intelligence to grow farm-fresh produce throughout the year. The system itself is located within a temperature-controlled container truck located just outside the Marriott Hotel Manila.

This is the first location for the high-tech hydroponic system from BoomGrow outside of Malaysia.
