Vertical Future appointed Marco Ferroni as the new Chair of the Board. Ferroni is also a member of the board of the Global Institute for Food Security at the University of Saskatchewan and recently stepped down as Chair of the System Board of CGIAR, the global agriculture and food, land, and water systems research and innovation group.
Commenting on his appointment, Ferroni said: “I am excited to take on the role of Chair at this fast-growing, innovative business. Vertical Future’s mission to contribute to global food security through sustainable and scalable farming solutions is one I have pursued for many years of my career. I look forward to working closely alongside Jamie and the whole Vertical Future team to make their vision a reality.”

Between 2007 and 2017, Ferroni served as Executive Director of Syngenta Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture, a developer and incubator of scalable solutions alongside smallholder farmers in developing countries and emerging markets to raise yield and resource use efficiency, manage risk and improve food security.
