Yoeri van der Laan has joined IUNU as a Program Manager based in the Netherlands. Van der Laan brings a rich technological background, having worked for multiple digital platforms in positions where he was responsible for strategic growth and new feature development. He joined the horticulture industry, managing strategic partnerships at Priva and working on research projects related to the future of agriculture.
As part of IUNU’s continued expansion into the Netherlands, van der Laan will be leading a stealth project in partnership with a major research organization. “IUNU is the only company capturing plant data at scale using computer vision and, because of this scale, is in a unique position to empower growers like no other company has done so far. This is the future of horticulture, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it,” said van der Laan.
“Yoeri is a great addition to the IUNU team. He brings a wealth of experience scaling technologies in and out of the horticulture industry. Combined with his detailed customer-focused approach, he is the perfect person for IUNU in Europe,” said Adam Greenberg, CEO of
IUNU.
In North America, more than 75% of leafy greens greenhouse operators and many of the largest ornamental growers use IUNU’s LUNA platform today, and the company recently launched in the tomato market. Internationally, the company is focused on expanding first in the Netherlands. Recently, IUNU announced its partnership with BASF’s vegetable seeds business, Nunhems, who has chosen IUNU as its provider of computer vision and AI software for its lettuce breeding program. Both breeders and commercial growers trust LUNA as their partner in data-driven growing. The hire of van der Laan marks the next major move for the company in Europe.
