The new Nanoboost by EOD Europe:

Increasing the oxygen levels in irrigation water for a healthier growth

Due to different environmental conditions, the oxygen content of irrigation water can drop to critically low levels, which challenges healthy plant growth. For this reason, EOD Europe has come up with their new oxygen ­finebubble generator, the Nanoboost™ Oxygen Finebubble Generator, which adds and stabilizes the amount of oxygen in irrigation water.

The Nanoboost is a compact device and can be integrated into existing irrigation systems. It harvests the needed oxygen from the surrounding air with a molecular sieve, and because of that, the system doesn’t need a separate compressed oxygen supply. According to the company, about 20% of the generated oxygen is dissolved and temporarily supersaturates the water. The remaining oxygen is stored in finebubbles as gas, which maintains the high oxygen content for a longer period of time.

This high oxygen content of the water is said to decrease the growth of pathogens and biofilms, improve water quality, and promote the growth of organisms that benefit from oxygen. Also, the physical properties of the finebubbles intensify water treatment processes and specifically convey trace elements to the aimed target, for example, nutrients to plant roots.

The Nanoboost Oxygen Finebubble Generator is suitable for oxidizing any kind of water and can withstand an inlet water pressure of between 0,05 to 0,14 MPa. The device also allows remote control and monitoring. It can be integrated into the different automation and information collection systems.

The device should be installed in a covered space with an accepted air humidity of 15 to 75% and a surrounding temperature of between 5 and 40 degrees Celcius.
