Third edition of CEA 4.0 coming in to foster knowledge sharing in the VF industry

After a successful event in 2022, CEA 4.0 is coming back with 50+ presentations over two days of the conference. "Last year was very successful in that we had over 550 attendees from over 250 companies coming from 41 countries," says Jonathan Martin, founder of CEA 4.0. The event has now come to its third edition, with ever more companies and visitors showing up. "While we continue to see an increase in companies that are establishing themselves in the marketplace, we have also seen an increase in established companies that are market and thought leaders in the sector, which shows how relevant an event like CEA 4.0 is."

Over 550 indoor farming professionals from 250+ farms, farmers, produce suppliers, and industry solution providers will once again be joining the event, providing the industry with the unique opportunity to outline and discuss the advancements, innovations, and efficiencies that are ongoing to support the evolution and development of the indoor farm.

The show will feature two conference rooms running simultaneously, to which all attendees will have access. Conference Room 1 will be focusing on 'Smart Solutions for Enhanced Performance and Operations of the Farm," hosted by Mark Horler, chairperson from UKUAT. On the other hand, Conference Room 2 will have 'Smart Solutions for Optimizing Plant Growth,' which will be chaired by Derek Stewart, Director of the Advanced Plant Growth Centre at the James Hutton Institute. "Conference Room 1 will discuss how to make a farm efficient and sustainable," Jonathan explains. "So, the focus will mainly be on those technologies, practices, and processes that have an impact on production yields. In Conference Room 2, we'll discuss plant growth and how to influence it through light, temperature, humidity, irrigation, nutrition, and so on."

The CEA 4.0 trade show promises to be an exciting event that will bring together experts and growers to share their knowledge and best practices and gain meaningful insights on how to improve one's operation. "With a focus on the latest innovations, technologies, and trends in the industry, attendees can expect to gain valuable insights into how to optimize their operations and improve their yields," says Jonathan. This show is truly targeted at CEA operators, adds Jonathan. "For instance, employees of farms that sell their produce directly to consumers can currently attend for free, and solution providers for indoor farms can get their ticket for just £9.99. This makes the online event and platform very accessible and easy for the key and developing companies in the marketplace to discuss industry advancements as well as learn, meet, and network with each other. The event provides the platform for development, product, and brand awareness, allowing professionals within the sector to continue developing established relationships whilst connecting them to global organizations and personnel that, perhaps otherwise, they wouldn't have that opportunity to meet. We are excited to see the impact this event will have on the industry and look forward to the knowledge and insights that will be shared at CEA 4.0."
