Multi-layer cultivation at Van der Avoird gives room for growth of walking area

Because Van der Avoird Trayplant switched its raspberry cultivation to four-layer cultivation several years ago, the company can now give the company land back to nature. The company is expanding the walking area around the company. The Tuinbouw Ondernemersprijs (Horticultural Entrepreneur Award), won by the soft fruit company this year, reflects on this.

Together with neighboring businesses and residents, a working visit to the area took place last Thursday. Beekeepers Association Ambrosius Gilze-Rijen and CLM Onderzoek en Advies BV, also the initiator of Bee Deals, were also present to immediately set up a good plan for biodiversity in the area. This way, the footpath will soon be fun not only for nature lovers but also for wild bees, honey bees, and other beneficial insects.
