"We want to help growers harness the power of nature as we believe this enables growers to increase their yield and simplify their cultivation. How could it be you are using products in your crop you cannot touch with your bare hands? This is why central in our solution is a plant-based non-toxic fertilizing essence based on traditional and ayurvedic medicine principles and regenerative agricultural methods that will replace all other fertilizers and products," says Eric Tan, founder of Plantonic.
At the core of Plantonic's products lies the use of Fulvic and Humic acids, derived from Shilajit, along with other ingredients which have been utilized in agriculture for centuries. "These natural components strengthen plants, making them resistant to pests and environmental stressors, leading to an increased yield," Eric says, adding that their formula outperforms traditional fertilizers and practices, leading to more robust crops. But there's more to it. "What we've seen is growers need a lot of technique in order to tweak their plants. For example, this grower is using a dehumidifier in his vertical farm in order to have his plants think they're in an arid area and grow stronger roots. Our plant feed products help the plants grow stronger root systems on their own without the need for dehumidification. 'Just turn your installation off and open the window,' we told the grower." The same goes for the EC measuring or adding AB to the water – all that is no longer needed, Eric says, by treating the seeds prior to planting and adding Plantonic formula directly to the irrigation water tank.
These products are also being offered to consumers, but Eric is assured of the possibilities within the professional industry, as tests in a vertical farm show the potential to improve and optimize a crop. "We've seen rockets and Japanese spinach grew stronger, had larger leaves and longer roots after this treatment, which resulted in a 10 to 20% yield increase, and enabled growers to tremendously simplify their operations."
He adds that the company wants to support growers to harness the power of nature, which is also why they developed a device based on the science of cymatics, audio frequencies. "Picture yourself deep in the heart of nature, wandering through a lush forest," he sketches. "As you observe the plants and trees thriving without the aid of artificial fertilizers, you can't help but marvel at the seamless ecosystem that supports their growth. However, attempting to replicate this entire ecosystem within a controlled environment, like a warehouse or vertical farm, would be impractical and chaotic, as it involves accommodating birds and other animals", he laughs.
