The ACT group, a collaboration of five industry-leading providers, are teaming up to offer Quebec growers an opportunity to gather and learn about new trends in greenhouse production at the Quebec Grower Summit. The Quebec Grower Summit, a half-day in-person event in Saint Hyacinthe, QC, will be hosted by ACT group members Grodan, Growtec, Philips Horticulture LED Solutions, Priva, and Svensson, on Thursday, September 21, 2023. The Saint Hyacinthe event will be similar to the successful Leamington Grower Summit that the ACT group hosted earlier this year in Leamington, Ontario.
This free educational program will provide valuable insights on how to improve sustainability and boost profitability of greenhouse production of fruits, vegetables, lettuce and leafy greens, flowers, and cannabis. Presenters will share information on growing practices and trends, including growing systems and cropping strategies, root zone management, realizing production efficiencies with LED lighting, transpiration-based growing and energy efficiency, and optimizing the greenhouse climate using screening and airflow strategies.
The Grower Summit will be held at the Sheraton Saint-Hyacinthe, Saint-Hyacinthe, QC, 11:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Complimentary lunch will be available for summit attendees. The event will be followed by a complimentary happy hour at the conclusion of the event. Registration is required for the Quebec Grower Summit. The deadline for registration is Thursday, September 14, 2023.
