CAN (ON): Midland library getting hydroponic tower thanks to grant

The Midland Public Library will purchase a hydroponic tower thanks to a recent grant.

The library received a $1,466 Smart and Caring grant from the Huronia Community Foundation’s Environment and LabX funds.

“This fascinating system will allow us to grow fresh fruits and vegetables in a small indoor space. It will support our community pantry and show off alternative agriculture methods,” said Mel Nichol, MakerPlace co-ordinator at the library.
