New partnership leverages camera systems in UK vertical farm

AgriData Innovations and Harvest London have partnered for Harvest's newest farm that's going to be constructed in South London. Harvest London secured a 140,000 square feet (13,000m2) unit in Beddington, London, which will be transformed into a vertical farm growing a range of salads and herbs.

"We are proud of our collaboration with Harvest London. It is great to see our camera systems at work in a vertical farm. For the last year, we have been busy developing innovative crop monitoring techniques and supporting farm operations with data-driven insights," the AgriData Innovations team shared.

Recently, the team learned that 59% of lettuce consumed in the UK is imported and that a Basil plant can travel 6,800km from Nairobi to London. These are facts that most consumers probably don't realize. Therefore, the AgriData team is very excited to leverage their technology, contributing to local food production in the country.
