Mienis Water is one of the last 10 nominated companies in the Netherlands at the Nederlandse Innovatie Monitor, an award of the Amsterdam Centre for Business Innovation.
Through the 55 years Mienis Water has been active in membrane technology, many innovations have come from their hand, which are now implemented on a lot of different systems worldwide. "But the last years are special." as Jochum Genuït from Mienis Water explains further: "Our main goal is to support our clients by building robust solutions which are low on maintenance and low on operational costs. Next to this, we want to deliver a complete solution for their water treatment needs."
100 m3/h Ultrafiltration
Being one of the oldest builders of Reverse Osmosis systems in the Netherlands, Mienis always had a solution to produce high-quality irrigation water. "Features like automatic preservation and fully automatic cleaning protocols are highly liked features by many clients. The system can practically clean and maintain itself", Jochum says.
Reverse Osmosis is not only meant as a drain water disinfection technique, so Mienis Water developed an Ultrafiltration system for horticultural use over 10 years ago.

Jochum: "Our Ultrafiltration system is unique on the market. It is robust, flexible, and cheap on operational costs. We can treat all different kinds of water sources and disinfect the water a lot better than other techniques: log 5 on viruses and log 8 on bacteria. This while saving on fertilizers and with a very low energy usage."
"The last important step was to also control the water behind our systems. For this, we developed our HydrOxygen system, which we launched this year. The HydrOxygen dissolves oxygen and hydrogen gas into the water. Research has shown that this boosts the water quality and supports plants in their yield and strength, among other benefits."
