UAE: Priva signs MoU with The Farms to accelerate horticulture

During the AgraME exhibition in Dubai, Priva and The Farms signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) to further their collaboration in the global horticulture industry.

The MoU is the result of a long process of dialogues, mutual visits, and knowledge sharing. As one of the key partners, Priva is excited that The Farms is now ready for action.

"Over the past 4 years, The Farms team benefited from Priva expertise and insights and from the dedication of some of its team members (and more specifically Fred Ruijgt, Giovanni Angiolini, Anders Noren, and many others) in the process of defining its value proposition and is grateful of their contribution to its journey," shared Sebastien Leblond, CEO of The Farms.

The Farms is developing a unique ecosystem in Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi (UAE), which consists of a series of food-related infrastructures and programs that contribute to empowering food security amongst global communities while addressing the important aspect of food waste. With this being the initial focus, there will be a lot more to follow, as the team explains.

"We are proud to take care of the climate controls and the irrigation process of these farms. Besides this, end users, such as growers and their teams, will be able to use our own Priva Academy to optimize the use of their systems," the Priva team shared.
