Conad, an Italian supermarket chain, introduces its latest 'innovative line of salads: Vertical Farm Sapori&Idee partnering with Italian vertical farming company ZERO. The alliance will bring three varieties to the shelves.

"The objective of this launch is to create further value in the so-called IV Range, segmenting the offer towards premium proposals with an innovative, quality product and with lower soil and water consumption compared to traditional products, in line with the MDD development guidelines and our 'Support the Future' sustainability strategy," states Francesco Avanzini, General Operations Director of Conad.

"The partnership with Conad allows our company to bring our commitment to agriculture that combines innovation, quality, health, and taste close to millions of families. Choosing Conad Sapori&Idee salads from vertical farming, the Conad customer will have the opportunity to try a new excellence of 'made in Italy'," underlines Daniele Modesto, CEO and co-founder of ZERO.

Zero's CEA technology is applied to food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical sectors, with production plants in Capriolo (Brescia) and Figline Valdarno (Florence) located in industrial spaces regenerated and powered by renewable energy.
