"We are increasingly focusing on the development of modern, sustainable solutions that offer added value to users and reduce emissions for the food industry," says managing director Moritz Böcking of the German substrate manufacturer Klasmann-Deilmann. The company will be exhibiting for the first time at Fruit Logistica and will be presenting new products there.
Solutions, such as the new Growbag 'Advanced,' will be on show at the Klasmann-Deilmann stand. The TheGrowbag 'Advanced' concept is a mixture of raw materials based on the special GreenFibre® wood fiber and a reduced proportion of coir pith. The concept uses local raw materials from the circular economy with a low CO2 footprint and aims to show good results in plant cultivation.
The new 'Advanced' Substrates will be presented for the production of soft fruit in container culture. These formulations offer crop results while enabling the increased use of renewable raw materials. Substrate solutions, particularly for blueberries, will be on show.
Further, biopolymer product solutions, such as Growcoon and the Nygaia substrate fiber, are developed to create higher efficiency levels in hydroponic cultivation and vertical cultivation systems. Nygaia is especially developed for growing leaf lettuce in floating systems and supports root growth. The Growcoon is suitable for growing vegetables in hydroponics and for growing young strawberry plants. Both products are completely biodegradable.
Klassmann-Deilmann is present at Fruit Logistica in hall 27, stand F-51
