Portugal: Lidl invests €11mln in two new stores
Lidl Portugal has opened a new store in Sintra–Mem Martins, involving an investment of €5mln. The Sintra–Mem Martins store has a sales area of around 1,300 square metres with wider aisles, a higher ceiling, and a façade made entirely of glass.

UK: Ocado builds on Aeon partnership with plans for third robotic warehouse
British online supermarket and technology group Ocado said it had boosted its partnership with Japan's Aeon with plans to build a third robotic warehouse. The third customer fulfilment centre (CFC), as Ocado calls them, will be in Kuki-Miyashiro, the Saitama prefecture of Japan, and will go live in 2027.

UK: Aldi reveals new stores opening in the coming months
Aldi is set to open more than 10 new stores across the UK in the coming months as it looks to bring its low prices to even more shoppers. New stores in Waltham Cross in Hertfordshire and Olney Park in Milton Keynes are set to open in the next month, while towns such as Aberdare in Wales, Broughty Ferry in Dundee and Leytonstone in London are also gearing up to welcome new Aldi stores in the near future.
