Supermarkets intensify promotion, export of Vietnamese agricultural products
According to MM Mega Market Vietnam, since 2019, the company has successfully exported Vietnamese agricultural and seafood products to Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong (China), and Turkey. Key export products include sweet potatoes, dragon fruit, pomelos, coconuts, pangasius fish, shrimp, and frog legs. Currently, for dragon fruit, the supermarket regularly exports two to four containers per month to Thailand and China.

South Africa: Pick n Pay prices rights issue at 32.48% discount
South Africa's Pick n Pay will issue 252.2mln new shares at 15.86 rand per share in a rights offer to raise 4bln rand ($221mln), it said as the country's third biggest grocery group looks to reduce its debt. Pick n Pay, which has 2,279 stores across South Africa and seven countries across Africa said the rights offer price represents a discount of about 32.48% to the theoretical ex-rights price calculated using Wednesday's closing price of 27.39 rand.

Philippines: ACEN, SariSuki partner to boost farmers' output
Online market platform SariSuki and ACEN Corp. of the Ayala Group have partnered to boost farmers' yields by 50% above the national average through a "strategic" farm-to-market approach. The initial crops that would be cultivated by the program would be chili, cucumber, lemongrass, ube, pineapple and cashews, among others.
