Malaysia: Hydroponic project now 60% ready

A hydroponic farming project funded by the Federal Rural Development Ministry has reached 60 percent completion in Kampung Rancangan Klias. The project, which currently involves 30 participants, aims to improve the socio-economic status of the village's residents.

Klias Assemblyman and Assistant Minister of Local Government and Housing, Datuk Isnin Aliasnih, stated that the Federal Rural Development Ministry had allocated RM100,000 under the initiative for each Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK).

"This project is aimed at enhancing the socio-economic status of the villagers," said Isnin during the launch of the Hydroponic Farming Basic Course in Kg Rancangan Klias.

The introductory hydroponic farming course was conducted to provide participants with knowledge of systematic and proper methods for hydroponic vegetable cultivation.
