Ohio State Extension will hold a Small Farm Conference in Wooster on March 8. The theme is Sowing Seeds for Success.
The event is designed for beginning and small farm owners, as well as those looking to diversify their operations, according to an announcement. Attendees can choose from five tracks: Horticulture and Crop Production, Business Management, Livestock, Natural Resources and Diversifying Your Enterprise.
Conference highlights include sessions on topics such as Growing in a Hoophouse, Integrated Disease Management Strategies for Apples and Peaches and Using Cover Crops for Soil Regeneration.
Other sessions will cover agritourism, licenses and certificates for small farm markets, microgreens, beneficial insect habitats and vaccination programs.
