Vertical farming on TV as solution to world food problem

Marc Bruins and Robert Schouten of Infinite Acres showed on national TV last night what people are working on at a business park in Den Haag. The broadcast of WNL's program 'Stand van Nederland: Koplopers' revolved around vertical farming. According to the makers, a solution to the world food problem.

Ellis Janssen of Signify and Tisha Livingston, on behalf of Infinite Acres from the US, also gave their views. In the US, Infinite Acres now has several vertical farms running. The largest has a cultivation area of 2 hectares. Vertical farming is more profitable in several states than outdoor cultivation in an open field or cultivation in a greenhouse, Robert said in the broadcast.
