US: Penn State student farm to host ‘Earth Day On The Farm’ on April 25

Penn State's Dr. Keiko Miwa Ross Student Farm will host its annual "Earth Day On The Farm" from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 25, at the student farm, located less than two miles off-campus on Big Hollow Road.

Activities for all ages will include farm tours, food trucks, live music, and fun sustainability-themed crafts. The event will feature two immersive workshops that require registration in advance.

For $31, participants will learn all about mushroom log cultivation and can even take their own log home. Directly after the mushroom workshop, for $14, participants can learn about vermicomposting and take home their very own worm bin.

Free transportation services will be provided on behalf of the Student Farm. Buses will shuttle from the Creamery to the Student Farm and back, starting at 3:45 p.m. and will run until 7:15 p.m.
