Saudi Arabia: Hydroponic project achieves self-sufficiency in rural areas

The hydroponics project, a sustainable initiative implemented by Al-Bir Charity Association in Al-Laith Governorate, has achieved self-sufficiency in rural areas. Situated on 200,000 square meters, it uses modern agricultural technology systems.

The project has a significant ecological impact by producing high-quality organic products, saving water consumption, and enhancing national food security through manufacturing pesticide-free products. It also generates an impressive investment return of up to 21% and creates about 160 jobs for young men and women in the governorate.

The project serves as a model for innovation in agricultural investments and social entrepreneurship projects, inspiring other non-profits, civil societies, and charitable organizations.
