Slovak startup StoreField® has successfully completed its first commercial installation of a microgreens growing tower directly inside a retail space. The debut took place at Nom Nom Asia, a community grocery store in Bratislava's Fresh Market, offering shoppers a completely new way to access ultra-fresh, healthy herbs without a long supply chain.
The StoreField Growing System makes it possible to cultivate herbs right at the point of sale. Customers can literally harvest their own fresh microgreens – like arugula, broccoli, juicy radish, garlic, and many more – offered in three specially curated mixes: Garden Mix, Spicy Mix, and Earthy Spices.
This new system delivers food that's hyper-fresh, pesticide-free, packaging-free, and full of authentic flavor rarely found in traditional stores. Moreover, growing herbs on-site significantly reduces environmental impact and carbon footprint.
"The first StoreField tower installation is a major milestone for us – but more importantly, it marks the beginning of a much bigger mission: to give people the opportunity to see, smell, and taste fresh, naturally grown food right where they live and shop," said Martin Baláž, founder of StoreField.
The owner of Nom Nom Asia adds: "We're always looking for unique ways to bring our customers fresh, authentic, and high-quality ingredients. StoreField impressed us because it's not just a product – it's an experience. Watching your food grow right in front of you is something special."
