On May 5th, AVF held its first virtual Vertical Coffee Break for Members. These virtual coffee breaks provide a space for members to connect with one another in a relaxed setting. The event offers a great opportunity to network, share ideas and questions, and find new partnerships. Participants can discuss projects, hear news directly from their colleagues, and talk about their challenges.
The first coffee break was a relaxing and productive session featuring introductions and idea generation. Utilizing technology to facilitate free-flowing conversations is important during these challenging times.

Participants from across the world, including India, Europe, and the US, brought their expertise from various time zones together for knowledge sharing.
By the conclusion of the coffee break, several opportunities and further actions or conversations had been identified: the exploration of new AVF-industry collaboration plans, pursuing public-private partnerships in certain countries, addressing the vertical farming and controlled environment agriculture knowledge and training needs in hot spot countries through the AVF Academy, planning a meet-up at June's Green Tech event in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and discussing additional key presentation topics and ideas for the AVF Summit in Munich, Germany, on September 3-4.
