Dynamax, a company specializing in precision agriculture since 1985, is expanding its operations into Europe with the establishment of a new regional office. Alongside this geographic growth, the company is launching AgriSensors.com, a new agricultural technology platform designed to support commercial growers. The new company will be called Dynamax Euro, LLC. The expansion aims to enhance regional support and streamline operations across Europe, China, and the United States, while the new platform represents a shift toward more user-friendly tools for data-driven crop management.
"We're just about to sign the contracts," Wouter de Bruycker, Global Sales and Innovations Manager at Dynamax, shares when asked about the status of their upcoming European office. With existing locations in Houston, California, and Washington, Dynamax is now making a significant push into Europe, specifically to tap into the region's strong greenhouse industry.
"The Netherlands is a greenhouse hub," he notes. "We wanted to establish a company here so that we have legal advisors and R&D operations based in Europe as well."
While the decision was partly influenced by global trade considerations, he emphasizes a broader vision: proximity to customers and deeper integration into the European agricultural ecosystem.
"This office isn't just for our Chinese or American clients, it's for everyone. We're restructuring so that everything in America goes through America, and everything in China and Europe goes through the European company."

AgriSensors.com: Becoming more grower-friendly
Dynamax has long been known for delivering research-grade products to universities and scientists. But now, with their new platform AgriSensors.com, they are shifting their focus to commercial growers as well.
"Our original platform was made for researchers - very complex, even for me," Wouter admits with a smile. AgriSensors.com is built to be intuitive, with growers in mind. It's a total rethink."
Though already available to select customers for early testing, the full official launch of AgriSensors.com is set to take place within the next two weeks. "We wanted to release it during GreenTech, but we decided to delay just slightly to give it a bigger launch," he shares.
The platform aims to provide actionable insights, streamline data visualization, and facilitate decision-making for growers of all sizes. "It will be a universal platform, available through both American and European offices, with ongoing evaluation and improvement."
Cutting-edge instruments: stem flow and dendrometers – (diameter measurement)
In addition to sap flow and plant measurement innovation, Dynamax continues to evolve its hardware. Among their most advanced datalogger in the agricultural field, Dynamax created the SapIP-SMART cellular data collection platform. The analogue IOT device has been in production for 12 years with mesh networking, and now for the greenhouse, we developed the digital SDI interface to add the IR Temp, soil moisture, and a digital microclimate weather.
"Then we have seen amazing results," he says. "And we've already seen what it can do in the field."
He referenced a recent case study in a Washington apple orchard that showed staggering results. "We managed to reduce water use by 53% using our system, which is not a small change." We improved water use efficiency, producing 132% more packable crop per megalitre, by reducing defects with less water.
The device helps growers measure plant stress and water flow with unprecedented precision. When integrated with AgriSensors.com, the data becomes even more powerful.
Long-term vision rooted in innovation
When asked whether the company is looking to partner with local European businesses as part of the expansion, Wouter mentioned that partnerships are important. The company has existed since 1985, and has distribution in 25 countries. We have the infrastructure and knowledge to make this move successful by adding consulting and European partners for greenhouse management. Dynamax will play a pivotal role in their global R&D and localized support. "We're bringing everything we've learned in 40 years, and we're ready to make an impact."
