AI (artificial intelligence) robot startup Meta Farmers announced on the 12th that it has attracted 3 billion won (over US$2m) worth of investment in the Free A series.
Octagon Venture Partners participated in this investment as a lead investment company, and Future Play and Smilegate Investment joined as joint investment companies.
Founded by robotics experts from IDIM Lab at Seoul National University, Meta Farmers is developing a multi-purpose agricultural robot called Omni Palmer. Omni Palmer handles various agricultural tasks such as harvesting, moisture, selection, and forecasting on a single platform, and can be applied from traditional farms to vertical farms and greenhouses through dedicated grippers and AI recognition technology.
