As of August 1, PB tec from Maasdijk has taken over CE-Line, according to curator Bas van Dijen speaking to Omroep Flevoland. All CE-Line employees will continue under the new ownership.
CE-Line, a developer of sensor technology for greenhouse horticulture, was declared bankrupt last month. The curator had already indicated that a restart was being explored.
PB tec designs and builds technical systems for horticulture, including electrical installations, water management systems, and automation solutions. CE-Line is known for its "plug-and-play" measurement system, which connects directly to a grower's existing irrigation supply, making it easy to continuously monitor water quality and nutrient levels without disrupting daily operations.
For growers, this acquisition could mean a seamless integration of CE-Line's precision monitoring with PB tec's broader technical solutions, helping to create smarter, more efficient greenhouses.
