Joakim Ottander shares that he has joined Green City Farming as Co-founder & Chief Commercial Officer.
"After more than 15 years as a climate tech entrepreneur, I saw no other way forward than to continue on that path – but this time in a new industry," said Joakim in a statement. "The world urgently needs more sustainable ways to produce food. Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) – and in particular vertical hydroponic farming – offers an efficient, local and resource-smart way to grow fresh greens and vegetables.

"Compared to open-field and greenhouse farming, CEA dramatically reduces land, water, and pesticide use. The one big challenge is energy – specifically artificial lighting. Optimizing energy use is therefore key to profitability and that's where my background in energy optimization comes in."
Green City Farming is a company that works to make indoor farming more efficient, scalable and accessible.
"I'm looking forward to working with our amazing team to help shape the future of sustainable farming," Joakim concluded.
